Thank You for Riding is available now!
Thank You For Riding is one story in a five-book series called Strangers on a Train, now out from from Samhain! My wonderful co-authors for the project are Ruthie Knox, Samantha Hunter, Serena Bell, and Donna Cummings. Each of us chose a different kind of train for our characters to fall in love on, and I picked the subway. If you've ever ridden Boston's T, you'll appreciate what a deeply sensual and romantic setting it is. The books are available now as digital novellas, with a print anthology to follow in February of next year. You can find details about my story on my Books page. For the best price, order direct from Samhain!
Making Him Sweat is out now!
My March Blaze, Making Him Sweat, is available now! It’s set in Boston, in a disreputable boxing and mixed martial arts gym in Chinatown, as are the books that’ll follow in the series (Taking Him Down, an August Blaze, and Driving Her Wild, November). I love writing struggling, working-class heroes, and fighters in particular, so these have been great fun for me.
In Making Him Sweat, the heroine, Jenna, has just inherited her estranged father’s shady, unprofitable boxing gym, and arrives in Boston with plans to open an upscale, old-school matchmaking franchise in the same building. She butts heads (and other more exciting body parts) with the gym’s general manager, Mercer, a former amateur boxer turned trainer, who’s determined to convince her to give the gym a chance to bounce back, before she has to put it out of its fiscal misery. Pragmatic townie commitmentphobe meets West-Coast incurable romantic. Romantic Times gave it their highest rating, ★★★★½. You can check out the blurb, and find links to order, on my Books page! You can also add the book or the series on Goodreads.
The Wedding Fling is out!
My latest Blaze, The Wedding Fling, is out! It features a runaway celebrity bride, escaping on her honeymoon-for-one only to become romantically entangled with an unscrupulous—but sexy—resort pilot. Romantic Times says, "★★★★½ The playful nature of this pair is the highlight of Maguire's satisfying read." It's available in both paperback and ebook from eHarlequin, Amazon and Barnes & Noble, plus you can add it on Goodreads.
New three-book deal with Penguin!
Okay, technically this is my evil conjoined erotica-writing twin Cara McKenna's news, but I'm still crazy-happy to announce I've accepted a three-book deal with Penguin / Intermix! The books will be full-length, contemporary, single-title erotic romances. The first book, After Hours, will be out in April 2013. Once I got the offer, I was additionally lucky to scramble around and score one of my dream agents, Laura Bradford, of Bradford Lit, who brokered the sale most ably, and totally pretended she couldn't smell my rank panic-sweat through her phone. More details about the stories themselves later. Just wanted to share!
